Artistry in Engineering.
My name is Thomas Belinky, I’m a Mechanical Engineering major at New York University, class of 2024. My main expertise is in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and manufacturing; specifically CNC machining. I started my engineering journey 10 years ago, Initially working with simple tools like Tinker-cad but quickly growing to industry standards like Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks. I also have a large amount of experience in the 3D printing space, mainly working with FDM and SLA printers. During the last four years at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering, I’ve continued developing my manufacturing skills, particularly operating, writing documentation, and maintaining a Tormach PCNC440, a 770M milling machine, and an 8L CNC Lathe.
Among other skills in 3D Printing and Laser Cutting, I am proficient with some heavy machinery including pillar drills, manual milling and turning machines, and bandsaws. I am also well equipped to use most hand tools, my favorite set of tools are digital calipers and micrometers.
